A valid government-issued driver’s license will be required of all drivers at the time of rental. The license may not be expired, cracked, broken, or a temporary permit/license. International customers will be required to provide a passport, international driver’s license (not required,but recommended), and are required to purchase our Personal Protection Package insurance coverage. We will NOT waive this charge.
MINIMUM DRIVING AGE
All drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
All renters (except international customers) are required to provide proof of full coverage liability insurance.
We provide supplemental insurance coverage that you may elect to add at the time of booking. NOTICE: Credit cards DO NOT carry liability coverage and will NOT be accepted as insurance. Credit cards are secondary coverage and only cover damage to the rented vehicle. They do not offer coverage in the event of any liability claims.
All international renters are required to purchase the Personal Protection Package at $37.50 per day in order to rent a vehicle with us (we do not acceptany credit cards for insurance coverage). We may waive this requirement if the renter brings verifiable proof of FULL COVERAGE automobile insurance in the United States (US territories excluded).
A security deposit is required, the amount of which depends on the vehicle and the age of the driver.
A 24 hour period constitutes as a rental day as long as the vehicle is picked up and returned by 11:00 AM.
Additional drivers may be added for a charge of $14 per day, per driver. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required for each additional driver.
We offer airport pick-up and drop-off service to surrounding airports. This service will incur additional fees.
All reservations are non-refundable, but if plans change, the rental fee will be considered as a future credit. The future credit is valid for 1 year from the original reservation date.
We accept all major credit cards (check/debit/prepaid cards are NOT credit cards and will require additional deposit and verification. Please check Debit Card policy for details). Cash is also accepted (please review policy under other) in U.S. currency only.
Payment may be made by the following: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express Cards, we will also accept cash and check/debit cards as forms of payment. You must contact us prior to your rental for cash/debit/check/prepaid card policies. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your rental and forfeit of your deposit. An additional deposit of a minimum of $250 and full coverage auto insurance will be required for any renters using a card with debit/check/or prepaid anywhere on the card.
Cash is accepted with an additional security deposit of $250 in addition to the cost of the rental. For instance, if your rental is $500, you would need to have $750 cash available at pickup. We DO NOT refund in the form of cash at any time. Refunds will be made by check and sent via regular mail within 3-5 business days of the vehicles return.
Personal checks or handwritten checks are not accepted for any reason. School, government, or institution checks are accepted providing we receive the check a minimum of 14 days prior to the pickup date. We will still require a credit card authorization to be placed on file – this is for incidentals only and will not be charged unless the vehicle is returned with less fuel, damage, etc.
We will provide you with a 24 hour nationwide roadside assistance number that may also be used as a contact should an emergency situation arise outside of normal business hours.
Fuel level will be checked and confirmed at the time of rental. The customer is required to bring the vehicle back with the same amount of fuel as when rented. Fuel discrepancies will be billed up to $10.00 US per gallon (actual amount set by daily pump price will be reflected on written agreement).
Vehicles may travel to any state in the continental United States, with written authorization from Direct Transportation Solutions. Travel outside of the state of Texas is regulated by GPS tracking units.
Pick-up and drop-off for these days are available and may be arranged by contacting us in advance.
All rentals include 100 miles per day, with any excess mileage billed at $2.00 per mile, except for the Rolls Royce and other exotic vehicles which will be billed at $3.00 per additional mile.
No pets are allowed in any vehicle, without prior arrangements. Service animals are always allowed in our vehicles with proper documentation. A $100 cleanup fee will be assessed to any vehicle with any signs of pet transport.
Keeping rental vehicles longer than originally scheduled is generally not a problem provided the vehicle is not already reserved for another customer. Verbal extensions (calling by phone, etc.) are not honored. Customer must sign a new rental agreement with extended dates and times in order to extend the rental.
International renters will be required to present a valid passport in order to rent a vehicle from us. They will also be required to purchase our Personal Protection Package at $37.50 per day. We will not accept credit card coverage as insurance. Credit card coverage is not primary and does not provide any liability coverage for the vehicle. We require liability coverage for all renters.
Prepayment of a minimum of $100 US is required with all reservations. Payment may be made by the following: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We will accept cash and check/debit cards as forms of payment, however you must contact our office prior to your rental for the cash/check/debit/prepaid card policies. Failure to do say may result in the cancellation of your rental, and forfeit of your deposit. All renters are required to pick-up the vehicle directly from our office location. Other arrangements can be made for us to deliver the vehicle to you, however they must be prearranged a minimum of 72 hours prior to the rental.
Prepaid reservations are available by contacting us within 24 hours after booking your reservation online by giving our office a call and letting them know you would like to prepay for your rental. All prepaid bookings are completely non-refundable if cancelled.
Vehicles returning earlier than the scheduled time on the rental agreement will not receive a refund or a credit.
RESERVATION HOLD TIME
Reservations are held for three hours from the provided pickup time or one hour from confirmed flight touch-down time. Please provide your flight information when you book your vehicle. This will ensure that we know when you are coming and to avoid having your reservation cancelled. We will attempt to contact you via email and/or phone. If we are unable to reach you in the three hour time or one hour after your confirmed touch-down, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and retain the security deposit.
There is absolutely no smoking in any of our vehicles. We reserve the right to retain the security deposit for any detection of smoking including smoke odor, ashes, butts in ashtray, etc.
We can deliver the vehicle anywhere in the Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas for your convenience, however a delivery charge will be applied.
TRAVEL TO CANADA
Vehicles may not travel to Canada for any reason.

Vehicles may not travel to Mexico for any reason.
